Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?
I’ve always wanted to help make families complete, and just seeing the joy when they are able to hold their babies with them is so beautiful.
Q. Who was the most significant support person throughout your journey?
My support person was my husband and I appreciate his support and help so much.
Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?
The common language between us and just being able to communicate better in their native tongue and understand one another was great.
Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?
My whole journey was beautiful, especially when the parents got to meet their baby for the first time at delivery. It was the best feeling ever to see their happiness and joy.
Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?
To have a lot of patience with the journey, and if they are able to help families out and willing to do this step, it would be wonderful because there are a lot of families out there that need help to bring a bundle of joy to the world.
Q. How do you feel about your experience working with Family Source Consultants?
It was great; they were seriously with you every step and were also so quick to get back to me with any questions I had, especially my case manager. I appreciate the help she gave me and was always there for me when I needed to be heard. So thankful for our case managers; they are truly amazing.
Q: How has becoming a surrogate impacted your life?
It impacted my life because I gained another family/friendship in my life with the intended parents and of course their baby. It is such a beautiful feeling to know that, with my help, their family is complete.
Q: How did you prepare yourself for separating from the baby after birth?
When I started the journey, I already had it in my mind that the baby was going with her family. At delivery it made it easy for me to see her go with her parents without any trouble at all.
