Megan is an incredible experienced surrogate who delivered a baby boy for a family in October 2023.
Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?
I have always loved helping others and my last delivery of my daughter was such a great experience I was happy to be pregnant again but I knew I did not want any more of my own kids.
Q. Who was the most significant support person throughout your journey?
My husband, my IP’s, and my case manager. I felt like I had an amazing team on my side.
Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?
We got along right away and there was something I can’t explain just felt so right with choosing them. We have become so close throughout this journey and I am so grateful I chose them.
Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?
Some of my favorite memories from this journey would be when we found out I was pregnant and being able to share that news with my IP’s. Also the day the baby was born. Both parents were able to be in the room during labor and delivery and it was so special having them there to meet their baby right away. The emotions cannot be explained but it was incredible.
Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?
Make sure you have a good support system. Being a surrogate is very time consuming so you have to make sure you have the ability to fulfill that.

Q. What did you find was the biggest misconception people had about surrogacy?
A lot of people are surprised when they find out the baby is not genetically mine at all. They assume my egg was used and I have had to explain many times that my genetics are not passed on to the baby.
Q. Was this pregnancy different than your other pregnancies? If so, how?
This one was very different in the best way possible. It was an incredibly easy pregnancy and delivery with zero complications. I didn’t feel overly pregnant even towards the end.
