Meet Madison!

“They were always so helpful and quick to get back to me, I also made some amazing friends because of FSC!”

Madison is an incredible surrogate who delivered an adorable baby girl for a loving family.

Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?

Hope. The hope to give someone something they longed for their whole lives. The gift and hope of a baby and to be a parent. I know the joys of being a parent to two boys and I can’t imagine life without them.

Q. Who was the most significant support person throughout your journey?

My husband! He was supportive and encouraging. I would say majority of my family was there for me as well. My two boys were so sweet and caring to me as well! The IP’s were also fabulous! Couldn’t be happier with those I surround myself with.

Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?

They were down to earth, caring and understanding how hard and demanding a pregnancy can be. They always made me feel like they were thinking of my family and me from day one.

Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?

Traveling to the IPs clinic to meet them, getting clearance and then coming back for the embryo transfer and getting to spend one on one time with them and having them in the room with me from embryo transfer to delivery. Delivery also holds a special spot in my heart.

Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?

Take a leap of faith. Stay focused on the bigger picture and watch how rewarding the process is.

Q. How do you feel about your experience working with Family Source Consultants?

They were always so helpful and quick to get back to me, I also made some amazing friends because of FSC!

Q: What did you find was the biggest misconception people had about surrogacy?

They think I am related to baby and just giving it up, or they thought it was all about compensation and not about the relationship and gift I could offer someone who is experiencing infertility.

Q: What would you like other people to know about surrogacy?

How personal it is. How wonderful a journey can be. How you make complete strangers apart of your own family by 8 months.

Q: What was the funniest/strangest/most common question you were asked as a surrogate? How did you answer?

Is the baby mine? Will I be sad to let the baby go? I just really loved to educate those on who have no clue about surrogacy! I broke down the whole scenario down every time!

Q: How has becoming a surrogate impacted your life?

It makes me feel like [I] fulfilled something way bigger than me and surrogacy is just so inspiring.

Q: Was this pregnancy different than your other pregnancies? If so, how?

Yes! Smooth sailing until about 30 weeks – and then I delivered earlier than either of my own boys! Super fast, easy birth as well. I got entirely too lucky!

Q: How did you prepare yourself for separating from the baby after birth?

I went in with a mindset that this baby was not mine, never was, I am just a carrier to this fabulous couple who has waited so long and were so deserving.
