I’m Angela, I am 35 and have been married for 8 years. We have 4 boys, we each brought a son into the marriage and have 2 boys together and our family is complete. One of life’s greatest gifts is the opportunity to help others. Surrogacy was something I had always wanted to do, then after watching a friend complete her surrogacy journey and talking to her every step of the way I knew this was something I needed to do. So after Christmas of 2014 I turned in my application and I was perfectly matched in January 2015 with parents from Spain.
Not only have I delivered a perfect baby boy into the arms of his parents, but the whole process has given me and my family so much more. The life lessons it has given to my children is more than I expected. I was blessed to be able to be trusted to carry a child for these two! Some parents struggle to leave their children with a babysitter, but they trusted me to care for their baby for months. I can’t imagine the struggle to give up that kind of control and just trust that everything will turn out right.
The expressions and love that I got to see on the parents’ faces when they met their child for the first time made every ache, pain and sleepless night worth it! This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and something I will never forget.
