I’m Hannah and I’m pregnant with a child for an international couple. I’m also a mom of a crazy toddler, a wife of a teacher and a daycare provider. Ever since I first read about surrogacy in my early teens, I knew that I wanted to be involved in this process as a carrier. Before my husband and I got serious, I told him about my intentions and luckily he was pretty supportive of the idea. It feels so surreal that I am actually doing it now.

My pregnancy and delivery with my son was so easy and I couldn’t wait to do it again. When I was done breastfeeding, I decided to look in to starting my surrogacy dream. After a little bit of research, I discovered that I was qualified to go forward. Many long talks with my husband and he was happy to go forward too.  I started applying to FSC in January 2014, but hit some bumps along the way, so I actually didn’t get to transfer until January 2015. The wait was probably to prepare me for a successful transfer, because the first transfer took! I got pregnant!

My IPs and I are an amazing match, and I contribute that to the matching stage at FSC. I even hear from pictures that my intended mother and I look like sisters. (Funny thing is, her mom’s maiden name is my last name!) In May, they visited me for the gender ultrasound and they found out that the baby was a GIRL! I could not be happier for them and cannot wait until October when their little girl gets here!
