Meet the FSC Team: Chris Boyd, Communications Coordinator

We are excited to share with you more about our wonderful staff. Family Source Consultants has five office locations throughout four states and we work with Surrogates and Egg Donors all across the country.

Name: Hello my name is Chris Boyd

Where are you from: I was born in Joliet, Illinois and grew up in Coal City, Illinois2-800x795

Current location: I currently live in Plainfield, IL with my best friend (dog) Benji.

Position at FSC: Communications Coordinator

What brought you to FSC: I began my employment with FSC about 4 years ago as the opportunity arose due to a high demand for gestational surrogates; one of my younger siblings was born via surrogacy, therefore, it gives my great satisfaction knowing that these awesome ladies who I reach out can change a family forever!

Most rewarding part of your job: The most rewarding part of my job is after I am done contacting a potential surrogate and she then decides to choose our agency; even better when the baby or babies are born.

Frequently asked question (and answer) from GS/ED/IPs:  Well a question I get asked most often is “do you think my BMI is too high?”… As much as I dislike telling them yes at times, it encourages them to lose weight so that they can move forward with a surrogacy journey. On the flip side of this, they often times ‘think” it is too high and it is not, so they are relieved that they can start a.s.a.p.

Favorite quote: “CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!”

1-611x800Secret we don’t know about you: I love to eat mac & cheese with ketchup.

Her professional insight is uniquely informed by her own family-building experiences. As an intended parent, Staci welcomed her son via gestational surrogacy in 2005, and as a known egg donor, she assisted an infertile couple in expanding their family. These experiences lend a rare depth to her leadership and have fueled her ongoing dedication to ethical, empathetic, and professional support within the field of reproductive medicine.
