Denise Conner, Surrogate Support Coordinator
My name is Denise Conner and I’m Surrogate Support Coordinator for TeamFSC. I’m originally from Cicero, IL and currently reside in Chicago.
What brought you to FSC?
I was an intended parent seeking an egg donor. Family Source matched us with a perfect donor who is now my friend. Knowing our family was complete after the birth of our twin girls, I decided I wanted to give back and help another woman become a mom. After being matched perfectly once again, I gave birth to a beautiful little girl (who is now 3) for a local family. Shortly after, I was asked to create and facilitate a monthly surrogate support group. Now that my girls are in school full time, I have expanded my position to include reaching out to ALL surrogates, not just the ladies coming to our meetings.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Seeing bonds form between the surrogates with each other and hearing about how surrogacy has changed their lives.
What would you say is the most Frequently Asked Question (and answer) from Gestational Surrogates, Egg Donors or Intended Parents?
How does everyone communicate when working with international parents, what app do you use? Most international communication occurs through WhatsApp and Skype.
