My journey with FSC was a great one! Jessica and Nicole made it very easy for me along my journey. They are very sweet and communicative throughout the process. My coordinator Nicole was there with me every step of the way making sure I was doing well, and taking care of the reservations for my out of state donation. She answered all my questions and concerns the very same day and even on weekends. FSC is definitely a great agency to work with. I recommend anyone who is looking to help in cases like these, to go with FSC. They are very approachable and extremely well organized.
What led you to become an Egg Donor?
I’ve always felt the need to help others in need. Since I was a little girl I always felt a beautiful feeling seeing adoption stories on the TLC channel. I then made up mind from a young age, that I was going to adopt one day. About a year ago, I happened to be on YouTube watching an adoption story and on the suggested list I came across a YouTube couples infertility story, Phil and Alex. This was very eye opening for me, the emotional toll and heartbreak that many people who suffer from infertility go through again and again yet, they remain strong and hopeful. That is when I decided that I would love to help someone who is very much inclined to become a parent, and share their love and family with unconditional love. When someone or couple adopt a child in need, it is not done in vain but rather out of compassion. To share love and help the children reach a successful future with some of the best emotional support anyone can have. I’ll apply the same here, in my journey to help the strong women and men who are part of this emotional journey anyone can go through.
Who was your largest support person(s) throughout your journey?
My mother was definitely my largest support system throughout my journey.
What made you decide to be closed/semi-open/open with your Intended Parents?
I decided to be anonymous with my Intended Parents, as this was my very first cycle and a learning experience for me. After this cycle, I certainly won’t hesitate to do a semi-open/open donation in the future.
Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming an Egg Donor?
Go for it! It’s truly a humbling experience and I assure you, that you’re not going to regret it at any point. But, it takes two very emotionally strong individuals to help each other while not knowing anything about each other.
