Meet Egg Donor D!
“The best advice I can give anyone who is interested is to have an open mind, have patience, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. FSC is not just there for the Intended Parents, but they’re also there for you. You are the only person deep down who knows if this is something you’re okay doing.”
Q. What led you to become an Egg Donor?
I decided to become an Egg Donor because I believe having a family is a beautiful thing. Not all of us are able to do so without outside means. I was more than happy to help someone on their journey to creating the family they seek. If the roles were reversed, I would hope someone would be willing and kind enough to donate their eggs so that I may start a family.
Q. Who offered the most support throughout your journey?
My biggest support was one of my good friends. She always wanted to know how I was doing or feeling. She was always so eager to see how close I was to my retrieval. My case manager also played a huge role. She was there every step of the way, and definitely went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was comfortable.
Q. What made you decide to be closed/semi-open/open with your intended parents?
I was open to any kind of relationship that the Intended Parents wanted. The Intended Parents wanted a closed donation, and I was perfectly okay with their decision.
