Meet D!

“This experience was incredible! I am very happy to have done it. I feel like I helped someone and it really wasn’t a difficult process.”

Q. What led you to become an Egg Donor?

A few months ago, a friend told me about the good experience she had as a donor. She told me how she had helped a gay couple fulfill their dream of having a family. I was so fascinated by her experience that I decided to start the process to become a donor. Since I am aware that being a father is the dream of many people, I wanted to help someone to fulfill that dream and also wanted to pay my college. I really think that being a donor was the best decision I ever made. I was able to do what I wanted to do, and at the same time I was able to help someone to fulfill their dreams.

Q. Who offered the most support throughout your journey?

My roommate was my biggest support in this journey of being an egg donor! He always accompanied me to the medical appointments and was attentive to my needs.

Q. What made you decide to be closed/semi-open/open with your intended parents?

I decided to make an anonymous donation because I want the prospective parents to feel that they really are the children’s parents (which they are) and that the babies are so much their own!

Q. Do you have any advice for women who are interested in becoming an Egg Donor?

My biggest advice is to relax and enjoy this process as much as possible, take care of your body and eat healthy.
